Founded in 2007 by Dr. Caroline Carson, this choir was created for
singers from various groups around the city to keep up their singing during the summer,
mostly informally, throughout the summer when most choral groups take a break. Its members have a wide range of singing experiences and all have a true love of singing. If you are interested in singing in next year.s choir, please let Caroline know. There is NO audition and all singers are welcome.

In the summer of 2010, members of this group along with some UNO singers and various other singers will hopefully take a tour. Caroline is currently trying to decide between an Italy tour (Milan, Florence, Venice etc.) and an eastern Europe tour (Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest and Transylvanian Alps). This group will consist of singers and non-singers.

The 2009 Summer Chorus repertoire was Haydn's Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo (the Kleine Orgelmesse), and Gabriel Fauré's Requiem.

The group had an assistant director, Mr. Joey Wolfe, from the Masters program of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

The group was accompanied by Mr. Tommy Zanca (University of New Orleans) and Mr. Jesse Reeks (Loyola University), both excellent students and colleagues.

Performances were held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the recital at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
